A/C Repair

The client called reporting a problem with the central air-conditioning system not working. Upon arrival, we turned the system on and checked the outdoor condenser. We found the condenser fan on, but no compressor.

After inspecting the electrical system, we discovered a blown capacitor. We installed a new capacitor, and then noticed that the compressor unit was trying to start but would not. We then install a booster to help the compressor and with that we were able to turn it on successfully.
During our investigation, it was clear that the condenser radiator was extremely dirty with a buildup of dirt; this could very well be the reason why the unit failed.

With the client's permission, we began the process of power washing the entire condenser, using a condenser coil cleaner product. We vacuumed, power washed, brushed, and blew out all of the condenser unit with an air gun.

We also checked all electrical components, refrigerant levels, and as a final step, cleaned the condenser exterior covers.

Inside the house, we cleaned the condensation drain and ensured water was flowing properly down the drain.

We checked the air filter, which seems to be fine for now.

New capacitor and booster, along with the necessary wiring parts, were installed with a warranty.
